The course site – Canvas
Once your participation has been confirmed, you will receive an invitation to the Canvas learning management system. This is where you will find information about the course, how to participate, the course overview, learning activities, community spaces, tools and background material. Information and instructions for upcoming topics are published throughout the course.
Access and openness
Open course materials
Most HEDS course materials are openly available and can be accessed without being registered for the course. You are welcome to explore and share these materials.
Active participation in the course — including PBL groups, group discussions and other participant spaces — is reserved for confirmed HEDS participants with access to the current Canvas course.
The course community
The course community includes discussion spaces for confirmed HEDS participants. These spaces are only visible to participants who are logged in to the current Canvas course. Here you can introduce yourself, exchange perspectives across PBL groups, and share selected work, questions and reflections with the wider HEDS community.
The PBL group
Each PBL group has its own group space in Canvas. This is where group members can communicate, share material and work together on the course topics. Once the final PBL groups have been formed, participants will receive access to their group space.
